Importing demo content and settings
Importing the demo content and settings is optional. You can also set up your site manually.
Importing demo content #
- Go to Appearance → Import Demo Data.
- Click Import Demo Data. Please click on the button only once and wait, it can take a couple of minutes.
- Once the importing has finished you have the posts, pages, recipes, widgets, menus and other contents as on the theme demo.
Menus not showing up? #
Sometimes menus are not imported successfully, and you will have to manually set them up. Go to Appearance > Customize > Menus, and select View All Locations. Now set up the menus like this from the drop-downs:
- Main Navigation: Main
- Footer Navigation: Footer
- Header Social Links: Social
- Footer Social Links: Social
Now click Publish, and the menus will be updated on your site.
